Aged sheng pu-erh “Narcissus” (Shui Xian), produced by He Yang Tea Company in 1989. Made from old tree material and stored for over 40 years in dry storage. A fully transformed, semi-mature sheng with a classic old-school character.
The infusion is dark and dense, visually close to shu pu-erh, yet with the living depth of sheng. The taste reveals pronounced sweetness, smooth texture, aged wood, and notes of dried fruit compote. The tea is very balanced, without harshness, with a deep and complex structure.
It creates a soft yet profound state: relaxing, immersive, and meditative, with a distinct “time-stopping” effect. The sensation is clean, long-lasting, and physically noticeable.
Withstands many infusions. After multiple steeps, the tea can also be boiled — becoming even deeper and richer. Cold brew is also sweet and expressive.
This is not just tea — it is a collectible piece with history and character.
⚠️ Important: teas like this are often counterfeited. If you see similar offers at significantly lower prices, be cautious.
Brewing Recommendation with Reverence:
  • Water Temperature: –100 °C (203–208 °F)
  • Tea Amount: 5-6 grams per 100-120 ml (a seasoned Yixing clay pot is highly recommended)
  • Steeping Time: Begin with a gentle rinse. First infusion: 20-40 seconds. This tea is a journey; it can easily yield 15+ transformative infusions. Increase time gradually and with patience.
A tea not merely for drinking, but for deep, contemplative experience. For the serious collector and meditative practitioner.
