Lao sheng pu-erh from Yiwu region, 1995. Material from old trees, loose leaf.
The infusion is very dark, close to shu pu-erh. Loose sheng ages faster than compressed tea.
Taste shows medicinal notes and aged wood. Drinks smoothly.
Withstands many infusions. After infusions can be boiled.
Effect - brings heat, slows thoughts, reduces desire to talk, creates a meditative, contemplative state.
