Aged 1999 sheng pu-erh from the provincial CNNP company. Carefully stored in dry storage, this tea has fully matured over time and displays the classic profile of aged sheng pu-erh. A distinctive feature of this tea is the traces of natural fermentation associated with tea caterpillars. Such material is extremely rare and collected literally particle by particle. This contributes additional depth and complexity to the flavor. The infusion is dense, smooth, and full-bodied. The taste reveals dried fruits, gentle sweetness, and the characteristic depth of aged pu-erh. Despite its power, the tea drinks very smoothly and comfortably. The aftertaste is long, clean, and pleasantly sweet. It produces a strong effect: deep tea intoxication, meditative immersion, clarity, and inner stillness. The sensation comes on quickly and lasts for a long time. Cold brew also reveals bright flavor and sweetness, further confirming the tea’s quality and proper storage. Brewing Recommendation with Reverence:
Water Temperature: –100 °C (203–208 °F)
Tea Amount: 5-6 grams per 100-120 ml (a seasoned Yixing clay pot is highly recommended)
Steeping Time: Begin with a gentle rinse. First infusion: 10-30 seconds. This tea is a journey; it can easily yield 15+ transformative infusions. Increase time gradually and with patience.
