This is our signature expression of ancient tree Puerh, crafted exclusively for Almaz Tea. It is sourced from ancient tea trees over 300 years old, growing at an elevation of approximately 2000 meters in the pristine, remote borderlands of Yunnan near Thailand. Harvested in 2023 and pressed in 2025, it captures the vibrant essence of young Sheng with the promising depth of its venerable source material. The liquor is dense and well-structured. The flavor profile is bright and vigorous: ripe fruity tones, wild herbs, a light honeyed sweetness, and clean vegetal notes unfold with clarity. This tea possesses excellent brewing stamina, gracefully revealing its evolving balance and layered depth with each consecutive infusion. The energy is a hallmark of this house tea. It is powerful and expansive, yet remarkably even and controlled. It invigorates the senses, sharpens mental clarity, and supports a state of calm, focused concentration without any jittery tension, making it an outstanding choice for daytime sessions, work, or thoughtful tea practice. Gongfu Brewing Recommendation (Ideal Method):
Tea Amount: 5–6 grams per 100 ml (in a gaiwan or small clay pot)
Water Temperature: 95–100 °C (203–212 °F)
Steeping Time: Start with a quick rinse. Begin with very short infusions of 5–7 seconds. Gradually increase time by a few seconds with each subsequent steep. This tea is built for the Gongfu style and can yield a large number of flavorful infusions.
