This is a remarkable and interactive piece of tea artistry. We present a rare, well-aged Shu Puerh from the 1980s, carefully stored inside a whole dried pomelo fruit. This two-month infusion period allows the tea to absorb just the right amount of the citrus rind's essential oils, introducing a subtle, fresh citrus accent that elegantly complements—rather than overpowers—the tea's profound core character.
The tea itself is a classic example of mature Shu Puerh, prized for its thick, oily texture, expressive woody notes, and rich, deep flavor. The pomelo storage adds a bright, aromatic layer to its complex profile. As the tea continues to age inside the fruit, this citrus note will become more pronounced, gradually integrating further and adding even more complexity and sweetness.
The effect of this aged tea is formidable. It delivers a powerful internal awakening, a sustained charge of clean energy, sharpened concentration, and a pronounced sense of inner fortitude that can last throughout the day. It’s an ideal choice for a profound morning boost or whenever resilient, clear-headed vitality is needed.
Each dried pomelo contains approximately 150g of this precious 1980s Shu Puerh. The same tea is also available as a traditional cake for purists.
Brewing Recommendation:
  • Carefully remove the desired amount of tea from the pomelo. A tea pick is useful.
  • Water Temperature: 95–100 °C (203–212 °F)
  • Tea Amount: 5-7 grams per 150 ml
  • Steeping Time: Start with a quick rinse. First infusion: 20-30 seconds. This robust tea can yield many infusions; increase steeping time gradually with each pour.
A conversation piece and a potent tea experience for the adventurous connoisseur.
