High-quality Tieguanyin from the Xiping area (Anxi), grown at an altitude of over 800 meters. The conditions—mist, temperature fluctuations, and rich soil—create depth in both flavor and aroma. Produced using the traditional Zheng Wei (正味) method — “true/orthodox roasting style.” This is a classic semi-oxidized oolong with deep processing: fixation (杀青) is completed only by the next morning, resulting in the characteristic profile — green leaves with red edges. The dry leaf is tightly rolled, heavy, with a “dragonfly head” shape and an oily sheen. The color is rich green with a sandy hue. The aroma is refined and elegant — orchid with floral-fruity notes. The infusion is clear, light golden with a slight green tint and a characteristic “golden ring” around the cup. The taste is smooth, fresh, and naturally sweet, without bitterness or harshness. The aftertaste is long, with a quick return of sweetness and a distinct “Guanyin yun.” The tea withstands more than 10 infusions, becoming deeper and sweeter with each brew. It provides a clean, gentle energizing effect: clears the mind, reduces fatigue, and maintains balance without overstimulation. Suitable for daily drinking as well as focused, calm work. Brewing Recommendation for Optimal Freshness:
Water Temperature: 85–90 °C (185–194 °F) – Lower temperature preserves its delicate floral highs.
Tea Amount: 5-7 grams per 150 ml
Steeping Time: First infusion: 30-45 seconds to allow the pearls to open. Subsequent infusions can be shorter, around 15-20 seconds. It yields 4-5 flavorful steeps.
Experience the timeless elegance of China's most beloved oolong.
